For this photo assignment, I decided to take pictures of my animals. I have one dog and two cats, and my family is fostering 5 1-month old kittens to help out with the humane society. They're all really photogenic (adorable) and so I thought it would be really fun to shoot pictures of them. My dog (Google) was the perfect little model (she's good with voice commands, and treats), so the photos of her were both fun and easy to take. My two cats (Firefox and Bing) are mellow, and I managed to catch them in a non-playful mood, resulting in beautiful photos of them. The five little kittens (named Zeus, Apollo, Aphrodite, Athena, and Artemis) were quite rambunctious and active. Try taking pictures of five tiny hyperactive kittens. The first time I tried taking photos of them, it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I got many blurry photos of them. The next time I tried, they were very sleepy and cuddly - the perfect mood for the perfect pictures.
Here is my best photo:
Exposure Triangle Information:
Aperture: f/1.7
Shutter Speed: 60
ISO: 640
I didn't do a whole lot of editing to this photo - simply sharpened it slightly. I think the fact that her eyes, nose and forehead are so sharp and that the background and her body is so blurred out is a very cool effect.
