For this week's shooting assignment, I decided to take pictures of the sunset and the moon. I've seen really cool, close up, high detail photos of the moon before, and I love the sunsets that take place in the fall where I live. So, I thought it would be really cool to go to outside as the sun began to set, so I could capture the sunset. I looked up some recommended settings for taking pictures of the moon, and attached my large zoom lens onto my camera, so I could zoom in nicely to capture the detail in the moon. The sunsets were beautiful, and I incorporated trees, leaves, and even a plane flying up ahead into the shots, and I think they came out really nicely.

Exposure Triangle:
ISO: 200
Aperture: f/10.0
Shutter Speed: 1/200
To edit this image, I simply desaturated it to make it black and white and cropped it so the moon was on a rule of thirds line.

I had to take lots and lots of pictures of the moon before I found a very sharp image that was cropped in nicely too. The sunset came and went rather quickly, so I had to work fast to get enough good shots. Overall, this was extremely fun, and I'd like to take the knowledge I obtained while working on this project and apply it to other pictures I take in the future. I'd also like to try some photoshopping on the moon photos.
